Nancy Drew DS site opens - screens spied
Majesco has today opened the doors to its official site for Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park. Adapted from the best-selling books, the title brings the series to the Nintendo DS for the first time (after numerous releases on the PC). We’ve snooped around and scooped a few screenshots of the point and click adventure.
In Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, players must work to solve the mystery of a missing billionaire, Thaddeus Belmont, by collecting clues, deciphering puzzles and stalking suspects through 15 increasingly difficult chapters. The touch screen is used to great effect in accessing Nancy’s inventory and carrying out tasks.
“Today’s Nancy Drew is a very strong, female lead heroine whose independence and perseverance make her an excellent role model,” said John Merchant, European Marketing Manager. “Our new Nintendo DS game captures the spirit of this classic character and brings Nancy to life in an interactive, graphic novel inspired world.”
We’re all for any point and click adventures on the Nintendo DS. Now we just have to wait for LucasArts to realise that the portable would be perfect for the quality proportion of its back catalogue that supports the genre.
Nancy Drew is scheduled for release this month in North America and in Q1 2008 for Europe.
