Third party Wiimote being created by Pelican

Codenamerevolution.com has found out from a wholeseller that Pelican is creating a third party version of the ‘Wiimote’ that is going to be Nerf-based. What’s Nerf-based? It’s that soft foam that footballs and other children toys are created from. This might be in the making so no one gets any black eyes while playing Tennis on your Wii.

Soft, squishy controllers should be interesting.

I have info from a United States wholesaler that Pelican Accessories is developing a “Nerf-based” Wii-mote and Nunchuk. Yes you read it correctly, a NERF-based Wii-mote and Nunchuk. The following is the description for both of these products:

“A unique controller design that features a comfortable texture. Proprietary Nerf material forms into a resilient, long lasting controller that can take abuse!”

Nerfii
Nerf + Wii = Nerfii

As you can see, it’s also so that it’ll last longer because it will be able to take a few hits, in case we get pissed off that we can’t kill the Red Steel sword guys. The Pelican version of the Wiimotes will be going for about $30 to $15. That’s a little better than $60.

They are also making a PS2 controller.

Hrm, not sure if I’d trust a third-party Wiimote when it comes to accuracy…
