Simple Series fishing and karting heads to Wii
D3 Publisher has released a set of screens for the first two iterations in its Simple Wii Series of games, Kart Racing and Bass Fishing Tournament. The budget releases will hit Japan in October.
Kart Racing looks to feature a stripped down Mario Kart-esque experience, with up to four players revving their engine in competitive races. We spot what looks to be a Mii in one of the screens (just an alert that you’re driving the wrong way?), but by the looks of it your karting character seems to be a generic individual. You’ll also be able to share your best times over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network.
Bass Fishing Tournament, on the other hand, looks to offer the kind an easy-to-play Arcade experience for up to two competing players. Just look how chuffed that afro-haired guy in the screenshots above is with his “HUGE” catch. We would be too.
No word as to whether the Simple Series will be making its way to the West, but we’ll keep you in the know.
The Simple Series has seen a number of iterations since the PlayStation, and has also appeared on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.

The karting looks intresting to rent, but the fishing…no.
