Capcom confirms We Love Golf for US
Camelot Software’s We Love Golf has been cropping up on the pages of Famitsu since the end of August, but now has the developer and publisher confirmed that it would be bringing the Hot Shots-alike title to North American Wii owners.
Strung together by the software house responsible for Mario Golf and Mario Tennis on the Nintendo 64, We Love Golf takes a lighter approach to Tiger Woods’ ultra realistic simulation of one of the ’simplest to play, hardest to master’ sports there is. There’s still no concrete details on particular game modes, but we’d be surprised if Camelot haven’t done enough to make sure that Wii owners aren’t ever tempted back to the golfing game featured in Nintendo’s own Wii Sports.
That said, multiple game modes, unlockable extras and a variety of characters are all promised.
“Camelot’s pedigree in this genre, coupled with Capcom’s creative expertise, is a virtual hole in one,” said Nique Fajors, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment. “Combining an already great game concept with the exciting innovations possible on the Wii is a winning formula for an amazing experience for gaming and golfing fans.”
We Love Golf is released in Japan this winter.
