Bzzz! It’s the first Bee Movie Game screenshots
Activision has released the first images of the Bee Movie Game for the Nintendo Wii, a title based on the upcoming movie of the same name.
Reads the synopsis:
“Barry B. Benson , a bee who has just graduated from college, is disillusioned at his lone career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry’s life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey, and subsequently decides to sue us.”
A number of Hollywood actors have lent themselves to the characters in the movie, including the likes of Jerry Seinfield, Renee Zellweger, John Goodman and Chris Rock, all of whom we hope have lent their talents to the videogame, too.
Reminds us a little of the Nintendo 64’s Buck Bumble, actually. Players will fly through the streets of the Big Apple, blasting enemies with Barry’s Pollinator Gun. Strangely, Barry the game’s black and yellow protagonist also has the ability to slow down and stop time using his “amazing bee reflexes.”
We’re not expecting anything other than a rushed, licensed movie tie-in, but as ever we’d love a pleasant surprise.
