Wii games are all programmed with a good wireless remote and not an infrared remote. So, any kind of motion in the remote will be recognised by the Wii console and the games are animated at random. For eg: in Base ball, no one with any kind of talent with hand motion can hit a Home Run; but it is possible for a lay man, if he just moves the remote mildly will make the console to show Home run. To play any game in Wii,does not require any talent at all. It is all programmed to show animations at random to create excitement with the players. Players think, that their movement with the remote will give results, such as ...Single, Double, Home Run, Fault etc,. But it is not at all with their talents they could do. Just a random programming does these tricks. This is my honest opinion. Please tell me, if I am wrong, how one can learn talent, to hit a Home Run, each time., by his movements of the hand on the remote. Is this possible?

Nice video!

Being a Programmer myself I know much about how different electronics work, so I see some of you making guesses on how the wii is programmed. Well, the wii, like many electronics, it is most likely programmed in one or more languages, witch probably includes C/C++, ASM(Assembly Language). Binary is commonly used, but usually isn't used for programming. The Wiimote communicates via bluetooth with the wii console, and is actually a Infrared Camera. The Sensor Bar is an IR emitter. Also if you would like to begin programming for the wii,
I would start here: http://hbc.hackmii.com/. I hope I answered some of your questions.

The programming language used is C, which is then assembled into PowerPC assembly language.

Did you not watch the last segment in the video? He brought another person out who was "of different body type" to show that the movements still work.

Not only that nintendo or any console maker doesn't really set the MSRP of any game on its units it just licenses them its up to the publishers to set the price and why would a publisher ask for less money than what the public is willing to pay and has been willing to pay for quite some time now?

Lets not forget that also people of all shapes and sizes will be playing that game so just because this one guy can do his movement over and over again doesn't mean a 5 year old kid will be able to copy that exact movement, ubisoft itself has said they have spent tons of hours working out bugs in the sensing system because of these issues where person A may not be able to reproduce person B's motions.

Fortunately programming is not this easy, otherwise we'd be swamped in terrible games which would no doubt kill the industry.

This makes the Wii-mote programming easier, but all the stuff they had to do with the GC is the same, thus the prices don't come down, logic!
