D3 Publisher has revealed at this year’s Tokyo Games Show in Japan that it is set to bring a new iteration of its popular Oneechanbara franchise to the Wii home console sometime in 2008, and it appears to be another adult entry on the Nintendo’s platform.

The 3D action game that started off as part of D3 Publisher’s budget ‘Simple’ range in Japan has become so popular that it received a full Xbox 360 version with the subtitle ‘Vortex. In order to get an idea of how the game plays, below is the trailer for that title:

Roughly translated as ‘Older Sister Sword Battle’, the Wii-specific game, Oneechanbara R’, will apparently come complete with full Wii motion controller and revolves around rather attractive, scantily-clad women killing zombies in the most gruesome way possible, complete with a fountain of blood at every turn. The game is not only gore-filled, but exudes sex appeal, as can be seen in the Xbox 360 version’s introductory sequence that can be seen here.
