New Pro Evolution Soccer DS screens and details
Konami has today released fresh screenshots for its upcoming DS football title, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008/Winning Eleven DS. As well as a slight graphical improvement, the stills also reveal a few new additions factored in since last year’s edition.
The world Tour mode will return, in which a player’s team takes on the world, with the chance to improve their squad as they go by banking new teammates from a vending machine. This time around, you’ll also be able to upgrade new players’ individual skills by purchasing them with coins (gained by winning matches) in a shop - one manned by a bespeckled individual with a gigantic hat and a stroking a black cat. Riiiight.
Another new feature, to help ease new players into the world of Pro Evolution, are games of skill dotted throughout the world tournament. The one pictured shows static targets on the pitch that you’ll have to dribble through before scoring a goal. Your reward? Yup, more coins.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the Nintendo DS is released on October 26, November 02 and spring 2008 in Europe, Australia and North America respectively.
