Star Wars is ‘Unleashed’ on Nintendo’s Wii
LucasArts may have been teasing gamers time and time again with the notion of motion-controlled light-sabres appearing on Nintendo’s innovative Wii console, but most thought that all we were destined to receive was the compilation package ‘Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga’. However, now Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been revealed.
But since we have known about the actual game for a few weeks now, it is time for actual details of the Wii edition of the game to be fully uncovered…and uncovered they have been in these two in-depth developer walkthroughs that can be seen below. Check them both out for all you need to know about the title, first footage of the Wii version, plus other topics such as the original conception of the game, the team’s aims and goals for the project, information about the various characters included and how even George Lucas has been involved in the game’s making:
For those that want a quick summary of the game, here is an overview description that was recently released:
“Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.”

These videos are not Wii-specific and contain no footage explicitly stated to be for or on the Wii. They were released a little while ago and none of the big gaming sites have published these videos, or even stills, in their Wii sections.
Do you really think that they are just going to randomly say “ok we dont know what console this is on just assume its on the wii”
This is a BS story…the vids dont mention the wii at all, and theyre old. The old bait with ‘new info’ just to get hits….thats really sad Nintendic.
The first footage is old, but I hadn’t seen the second developer footage yet.
However “first footage of the Wii version” it is NOT as it doesn’t even mention the Wii; only PS3 and Xbox360. This type of news reporting is misleading at best.
Honest mistake, won’t happen again. Anyway, hopefully something more concrete WILL come out about the Wii version, though…
