Snake voice actor reprises role in Smash Bros. Wii

The updates for Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii have been coming thick and fast with a minimum of one new piece of information coming each day. However, now something special has been revealed that is not from the official Smash Bros. website…and that is that the voice of Snake from the Metal Gear series is set to reprise his role for the Wii game.

David Hayter is the man behind Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series and he has revealed to fans that he will now be reprising the role of Snake for the characters first ever role in Nintendo’s melee fighting title for Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This should come as a great sigh of relief for long-term fans that thought perhaps the character would not ‘feel’ the same as in the past. Another added bonus is that Hayter has confirmed that it will be completely new voice overs recorded for Brawl, rather than a re-hash of his previous work. Below is a video he prepared himself in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Metal Gear:
