Tomb Raider: Legend has been out already for quite some time on other platforms, but the game did so well Eidos decided to port it to the Gamecube, DS and GBA as well. This is the first time a decent Tomb Raider game gets released on a Nintendo platform.

That’s not entirely true, but I don’t count the crappy 2d clones on the GBA. The DS version features a 3D engine and it looks rather nice, although not as good as the PSP version. While the DS version has a touch screen, judging from the screenshots it’s not being used for puzzles or any other exciting things, it’s just choosing weapons and getting stuff from your inventory unfortunately. The handheld versions will be released on the 3rd of November and the Gamecube version will follow almost a month later on the 1st of December.
