Link’s Crossbow Training - first official screens
Link’s Crossbow Training is inevitably a ploy by Nintendo to do for the Zapper what Wii Play did for the Wii Remote - to introduce everyone gently into the use of the new light gun-esque accessory. Oh, and to make sure it sells by the bucket load, its decision to set the game in the universe of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is an opportunity millions of fans will not be able to resist.
After a few cheeky scans earlier on in the year, Nintendo has released for first official set of screenshots for the upcoming Wii Zapper pack-in game. An onscreen radar suggests that the action won’t just be fixed in front of Link; perhaps meaning that you’ll have to twist in 360 degrees to deal with enemies in all directions.
Are you looking forward to Link’s Crossbow Training or do you think Nintendo should have conjured up a whole new experience for the Zapper? As much as we’re looking forward to it, holding a piece of kit that doesn’t look too dissimilar to a powerful machine gun to replicate the actions of a primitive crossbow onscreen just seems a bit odd.

You could imagine the zapper as the crossbow / gun from the Underworld films.
Umm.. how much is this piece of plastic going to cost? Because all it is is a holster for your Wiimote + Nunchuk.
Hey, AugustusBot.
It’ll cost $19.99 for the game and Zapper.
