Feeling lucky? Bag a Wii for just $2.17
Retailers often offer special deals and limited discounts to tempt consumers to their stores, but Japanese online retailer GMAX is taking that idea and going absolutely crazy with it. Between November 09 and December 09, the store will apparently be selling five Nintendo Wiis for ¥250, which aquates to just $2.17 USD.

That’s right, a discount of 99 percent on one of the hottest pieces of kit in town. Given how many online stores sell out of the console as soon as stock appears in the West, we can only imagine how much traffic will be heading to GMAX during the next month or so. Just imagine being one of the lucky few!
Two words come to our minds: ‘Server’ and ‘crash.’

You know if this online retailer was North American that the lucky few who got the Wii would sell it the next day on eBay.
