Nintendo reveals special Mario Galaxy Club gifts and more
Club Nintendo is something that Nintendo has tried in all territories, be it via registering games over in North America for rewards, or the Stars system that is employed throughout Europe. However, neither of those schemes have ever really satiated gamers’ desires due to the Japanese otaku receiving a plentiful array of excellent treats.
Over the years, Japanese Nintendo owners have had their loyalty rewarded by Nintendo of Japan offering up extra special, limited edition treats for games, such as a DS version of the Game & Watch Gallery and Tingle’s Balloon Fight. The latest addition to the roster of goodies on offer, though, are even better than before, with old school gamers being given something special, as well as Wii owners that have picked up Super Mario Galaxy in the past few weeks.
Whilst in the West we have simply been happily receiving our free plastic Wii remote jackets and thicker Wii remote straps, the Japanese are set to pick up one of these: a Club Nintendo desk calendar, a two-disc Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, complete with the fantastic reworked Mario classic tunes, fully orchestrated, or even a Classic controller for playing Virtual Console games…but one that has been shaped into a Super Nintendo control pad!
What would you like to see appear on the Western Nintendo catalogue? Be sure to let us know by posting below and stick around for further updates here on Nintendic…
