EBgames taking Wii pre-orders this Thursday
EBgames have announced that they’re taking online Wii pre-orders for a budget-friendly price of $699, starting this Thursday evening (CST). For $699 you’re getting a Wii, a Wiimote + nunchuck and a copy of Wii Sports. If they don’t lose your pre-order due to a computer glitch that is. In-store pre-orders have already ended due to high demand.

Why anyone would want to pay $450 over the regular price of $250 is beyond me, Nintendo has already said that they plan to have 4 million Wiis available worldwide in 2006 so it’s not like this thing is hard to come by. But if you have money to burn and want to be really sure that you’re getting a Wii on the 19th then you might want to look into this.

I’m pretty sure that this is for a package deal with games, and other nameless items. A major retailer wouldn’t just mark up prices like that. That’s what ebay is for.
Well ‘the best games’ could be referring to Wii Sports, there’s a list of contents on the site and it doesn’t say anything about any other games or accessories.
If Wii Sports is the best wii game, I’m going to cry.
