Nintendo’s Wii originally created by Midway employee?

A quite shocking report has appeared on the Internet in the past few days about how an ex-Midway employee claims that he is actually the one that came up with the idea of Nintendo’s Wii motion control technology and that his old company helped cover up the idea to help out the home of Mario.

GameTrailers.com is currently hosting a video clip of a bulletin from FOX News in the US, in which an ex-Midway employee claims that he already had a prototype up and running that used the technology that Nintendo currently houses in its world-leading Wii console. The suburban Chicago man says he actually designed and created the technology almost a decade ago, and reporter Mark Saxenmeyer investigates in the video below:

Could this be true? Could Midway have axed the man on purpose to maintain close relations with Nintendo? It all seems rather far-fetched, but no doubt it will be something that is brought up several times in the coming months. Be sure to air your thoughts on the matter by posting below and stick around on Nintendic for further updates…

As you would now, bluetooth wasn´t invented in 1996, and the wii motes use bluetooth. So it is impossible that the wii uses his technology. Just a random guy like the one who accused J.k Rowling for stealing her “harry blobber” or something gibberish title.
