Flower, Sun, and Rain confirmed for North America
Marvelous Entertainment has confirmed that the Nintendo DS port of the Sony PlayStation 2 adventure, Flower, Sun, and Rain, will be making its way to North America. The DS version of the game is set to feature extras and add-ons to differentiate (as well as touch screen support, of course) to help differentiate it from the original. Japanese gamers will be able to get their hands on the title on March 06.
The story follows Sumio Mondo, a man making a living as an assassin. He has been sent there to carry out a mission to defuse a bomb that is on a plane set to fly from the island’s only airport. After waking up in his hotel room he sets off, but distractions from numerous people on the way mean that he is too late - the aircraft takes off and explodes. However, after a night’s sleep, Mondo finds that - Groundhog Day style-e - the previous day has begun again. This happens over and over, giving him the chance to solve everyone else’s problems as well as his own. With an ever-warping grip on reality, though, can Mondo deal with every challenge he faces without losing his mind?
Flower, Sun and Rain will feature over 50 missions in 18 scenarios, while the Nintendo DS’ touch screen will feature in solving many of the puzzles at hand.
Still no word on a European release, but we’ll keep you posted.
