Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - first Wii screenshots
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was announced for the Nintendo Wii last September - later after the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 versions. Today the first few screenshots of the Nintendo build have been revealed. Head below for a peek.
Not a whole lot is known about the Nintendo Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, although the Wii Remote will be used to wield a light saber - not in a 1:1 fashion, however. The Nunchuck, meanwhile, will be used to attack foes with Force powers.
Exclusive to the Nintendo Wii version (currently in development by Krome Studios) is the duel mode, in which gamers will be able to battle against their friends, reports CVG.
“Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console’s motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life,” said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts last September. “We’ve worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force.”
Game summary:
“Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.”

Doesn’t look too bad, really. I’ll still be getting the PS3 version though…the new physics and AI engines are what really sells this game, and while the Wii-mote saber control is obviously a draw for the Wii, I’d rather wait for a Wii-centric lightsaber game than miss out on the game’s full potential.
I think I’ll just keep my money and watch it on youtube instead.
i am glad to see it is living up to suck games as the gamecube’s jedi outcast. However i would love to see it reach the looks of the rogue squadron games, that wouldsell it in 2 seconds flat
should be such games, sorry
