Southpeak reveals first Ninjatown DS screenshots
After announcing a Nintendo DS title last August based on Ninjatown, the popular series of plush toys, Southpeak Games has revealed the first trio of screenshots of the Venan Entertainment-developed title… and it’s looking distinctly Pokemon-esque.
Based on the Shawnimals’ designer toy range, Ninjatown on the Nintendo DS is set in the peaceful town of the same name. Well, peaceful until the eruption of a nearby volcano, an event that is followed by an invasion by the minions of the evil Mr. Demon. Bent on destruction, it is down to the Ninjas to use their unique powers to fight back.
Using the stylus to place Ninjas and defend different district of the town, players will have the likes of Stealth Hug, Mighty Wind and Ninja Dropping powers skills at their disposal.
The first three screenshots show off a world that looks like a mix between Pokemon and Tellytubby Land, but charming nonetheless.
Ninjatown is scheduled for release this autumn.
