SEGA delays Samba de Amigo Wii
All you maraca fans out there, eager for a bit of Samba de Amigo action on Nintendo Wii are going to have to wait a little bit longer than expected, it turns out. SEGA has confirmed that the rhythm-based title will now arrive in summer instead of this spring.
Essentially a rhythm game, the original Dreamcast version was boxed with a pair of impressive maraca peripherals. Now, however, the Wii Remote and Nunchuck provide the perfect substitute for the title that is fronted by Amigo, a sombrero-wearing monkey.
SEGA is still remaining tight-lipped on the game’s soundtrack, but given that the 1999 original featured the likes of Ricky Martin, Reel Big Fish and Chumbawumba’s Tub Thumping, we’re sure you’ve an idea of what to expect. Like Guitar Hero III, we’re hoping it’ll come with the option to download tracks in addition to those crammed onto the game disc.
The above screenshots are from the original Dreamcast version of Samba de Amigo. If lapping them up helps ease the waiting process, we’re only happy to oblige.
