Final Fantasy Tactics A2 confirmed for North America

Released in Japan in Ocotber last year, the latest issue of North American magazine GameInformer has brought confirmation that Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift will arrive Stateside this summer.

Final Fantasy Tactics: A2 is the sequel to the Game Boy Advance’s Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and the third game in the “Ivalice Alliance” series. Set in the land of Ivalice, it centres on Luso Clemens, a young boy who is transported from the real world to Ivalice after filling his name in a blank space in a mysterious library book. On his arrival, Luso joins a clan of soldiers headed by a warrior by the name of Cid, with whom he explores the world and attempts to find a way back home to his worried aunt.

There are a number of differences between Grimoire of the Rift and its prequels, most notably the inclusion of more character occupations, a more in-depth world map and the existence of enemy clans. Square Enix has also developed the grid-based battle system, with some enemies now covering more than one square.

yyeeeeeessssss finally they shall release it. one of the best turn based stratagy games released. the story was great in the first on and the gameplay was addicting. unlike other cheap turn bassed games this one provides soo much rpg-ness to the mix allowing you to customize and level up your party.
