Mega Man Star Force 2 dated for North America
After hitting Japan in November last year, Capcom has today confirmed that the sequel to Mega Man Star Force will arrive in North America this June in two seperate releases. The two versions, Zerker X Ninja or Zerker X Saurian with players able to choose between Zerker, Ninja or Saurian dependent on which version they opt for.
Mega Man Star Force 2 takes place just two months after the end of the original, following Geo Stelar and the gang as they return to battle a host of new enemies, including the mysterious Rogue, the nasty piece of work that threatens the peace of the virtual Wave World by unleashing hordes of rampaging viruses.
Over to Capcom for more information on each of the RPG’s three variants:
Each of the three variants – Zerker, Ninja and Saurian – offers its own distinct Mega Man® transformations with unique special attributes and abilities. Players can harness the spirit of an ancient species known as Tribe and transform or ‘tribe on’ into three different forms – Elec (electric) Zerker wields a large sword imbued with the power of lightning; Wood Ninja can throw a huge Shiruken and move at great speed while Fire Saurian is able to reduce.
As well as the now-established battle card system set upon a 3×5 square grid, Mega Man Star Force 2 includes an upgraded Transfer system, allowing players to connect to their buddies via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to share cards, status upgrades and aid each other in performing upgraded transformations.
