Commando: Steel Disaster dated for Europe
British-based developer Lexicon Entertainment has announced today that its Metal Slug-alike run ‘n’ gun action title for the Nintendo DS, Commando: Steel Disaster, will arrive in stores on May 09.
Players take control of the heroic Storm, on a mission to destroy an evil organisation by the name of Rattlesnake. Commando: Steel Disaster positively encourages DS owners to shoot, jump, throw and roll into action as they attempt to complete a total of seven missions (five, plus two hidden), each culminating in a huge boss fight.
Key Features:
- Highly stylized graphics with slick animations
- Get behind the wheel of various vehicles
- Complex boss battles and 20 different types of enemy
- Pick up 10 different types of weaponry
- Destructible terrain and weather conditions
- Discover hidden missions and find the data disks
Original it may not be, but it certainly looks like a lot of fun. Fairly pretty too.

Original is irrelevant. Otherwise we’d run out of ideas and have no more books to read or games to play. Only Commando: Steel Disaster is Commando: Steel Disaster.
