Eidos officially announces Soul Bubbles for Nintendo DS

First brought to our attention back in January, Eidos has today officially announced its new physics-based adventure on the Nintendo DS, Soul Bubbles, which it reckons will be the newest phenomenon on the dual-screen handheld.

In Soul Bubbles, players control just that - a bubble filled with spirits that must be guided from the start to the end of 40 levels across eight different worlds, avoiding obstacles and dangers in order to stop any of the souls from seeping within the thin walls of the floating, watery sphere. The bubble will also grow and shrink in order to traverse tricky passages, with the stylus used to push the object gently along.

“This will be THE new phenomenon on the Nintendo DS,” said Brand Manager Ray Livingston. “Every single person who has picked up this game has fallen in love with it instantly. We can’t wait to introduce the world to Soul Bubbles.”

The title has been snapped up by British firm Eidos, who will take care of Soul Bubble’s marketing and promotion in the run-up to its release this spring.
