Square Enix Ltd. has today confirmed that it will be bringing Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, the sequel to the immensely popular Game Boy Advance Strategy Roel-Playing Game, to Europe, with the game being released across PAL territories in Summer 2008 exclusively on the Nintendo DS handheld system.

Following a strong performance over in Japan, where the game has sold nearly 400,000 units according to Media Create, Square Enix only recently revealed the game will be coming to the US during the Summer 2008 period, but has now put the same time period on the European edition’s release, in-keeping with the company’s efforts to bring games to the worldwide market within a short space of time.

In FINAL FANTASY TACTICS A2: Grimoire of the Rift, the story begins with the protagonist Luso, an energetic young boy, discovers a mysterious book whilst tidying the library as a punishment for his latest episode of light-hearted mischief. He opens the book and is transported to another world called Ivalice. Before he can catch his breath, though, he finds himself joining a clan led by a friendly, if somewhat gruff, man named Cid. With his new clan at his side, he sets out to find a way home…
