Last week Taito divulged news to European gamers that it’s’ latest overhaul of the Space Invaders franchise, entitled Space Invaders Extreme, would arrive in the territory this “Summer.” Today, North American players learn even more specific news concerning the Nintendo DS title - that it will hover into the US of A on June 26.

Space Invaders Extreme is a completely re-vamped build of the classic Arcade title, being released to mark the game’s 30th anniversary. From widely ranging enemy formations, boss levels and different outcomes depending on the colour of enemy hit, to local multiplayer wireless between two Nintendo DS’, Extreme is aiming to provide the most comprehensive Space Invaders experience yet.
