Koji Igarashi of Konami has openly discussed the future of the Castlevania franchise that he currently heads-up, revealing that his team has been hard are work on a third entry into the Nintendo DS series that follows Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin for quite some time now.

Now, though, IGA-san’s game title may well have been leaked via a trademark on the US trademarks and patents website. If the listed ‘Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia’ is indeed the name of the new DS entry, then it would not be particularly surprising. However, the only spanner in the works comes in the form of a mobile phone version of the adventure series that arrived last year and was subtitled ‘Order of Shadows’. Could this merely be a sequel to that game instead?
