Pool Party announced for Nintendo Wii

First announced last year, SouthPeak Interactive has confirmed that its first Nintendo Wii title, Pool Party, will arrive on the console in early May 2008.

Pool Party, Southpeak Interactive explains, will be a deep title that will capture the attention of fans of the sport. The game includes 13 different modes, including 8-ball, 9-ball and snooker, as well as lesser known varieties of the games such as Rotation and Black Jack. Players will clear tables in a variety of locations, from luxury yachts to beautiful villas.

Features

  • 13 game modes
  • 10 rooms and tables
  • Choice of cue and various sets of balls
  • Supports single player and multiplayer games
  • Full 3D environments and characters with stylized graphics
  • Immersive sound environment that enhances the game play experience
  • Variety of dynamic characters

Melanie Mroz, Executive Vice President of SouthPeak Games commented:

Pool Party is very important for us, being our first title for Wii. In line with our philosophy of providing fun alone or in company. Pool Party, with its clear menus and excellent characterisation will be an excellent multiplayer game.”

Pool Party is set to be a budget release, so we’re still a little dubious of its quality.
