Following on from the news of Capcom bringing out a Phoenix Wright spin-off called Perfect Prosecutor and Nintendo announcing Band Brothers DX, the latest snippet of information to be lifted from the new edition of Japanese publication Famitsu is that Square Enix has a brand new Wii title in the works.

Details are currently scarce, but what we do know is that the project is called Soul Eater and is based upon Atsushi Okubo’s manga series of the same name. The game is also set to be exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii console and comes with the subtitle of ‘Monotone Princess’, which will tie in perfectly with the anime series that has just begun airing in Japan. The game appears to be more action-oriented that expected from the development team more used to producing large-scale role-playing games, but there could well be RPG elements included as well.

For now, no release date has been attributed to the game, but a photographic capture of the feature in Famitsu can be seen below:
