Elebits sequel confirmed for Nintendo Wii
Last month rumour had it that a sequel to Konami’s Elebits was heading to the Nintendo DS. However, a snippet of information inside the newest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine reveals that, in fact, the series is sticking to its original home, the Nintendo Wii.
Elebits or Eledees depending in which region you live, was one of the Nintendo Wii’s earliest third party titles. The game’s name is derived from the electrified creatures that inhabit the title’s world, little fellas that hold the power to run everything from electrical equipment such as televisions to running the family’s automobile.
Players take control of Kai, a ten-year-old boy who, jealous of the attention the Elebits receive from his parents (both researchers into the critters), sets out on a mission to capture them all after a power cut leaves them all hidden in cupboards, drawers, and well, just about every nook and cranny in and about the house.
There are no official details just yet, although we’d expect that Konami will have worked on improving the Elebits experience for its second outing.
