As we confirmed in a news report last week, one of the Game Boy Color’s cutest adventurers is making a welcome comeback on Nintendo’s download service, WiiWare. Today we learn more details about the title, as well as the fact that it will launch sometime close to the arrival of WiiWare in America on May 12.

Toki Tori marks the entry of developer Two Tribes into the world of home console games, and promises that Toki Tori WiiWare improves on the Game Boy Color original in every way - most noticeably in its overhauled graphics, which are now brighter, sharper and full of detail. Players will use the Wii Remote to guide the little yellow fella through the game’s various environments, on a mission to save his siblings from their un-hatched eggs.

As in the original title, players will have to make use of items such as the Telewarp, Freeze-o-Matic and InstantRock to progress in what, at its heart, is one very clever little puzzle title.
