Those of you who have been keeping strictly to your Brain Training regime may recall that, last year, Nintendo invited a number of students to create a handful of experimental titles for the Nintendo DS. The original plan was to release these titles for free via DS download stations around Japan, but now it emerges that they are making their way onto the Everybody’s Nintendo Channel.

For a limited time (from now until April 22), owners of Japanese Wiis will be able to download Wakeari no Heya Tsuzuki, a book-style horror title that is said to play similarly to Hotel Dusk: Room 215, for free, from the Wii Channel that is currently only available in Japan. The advantage of this being that the games can be saved on the console’s hard drive, whereas the DS’ lack of memory meant that the downloads would disappear as soon as the handheld was switched off.

The other student-made titles (Nan de Momo Koko Yasan, Kiki Master and Watashi no Otochabako), we imagine will follow soon after.

There’s still no word when the Everybody’s Nintendo Channel will arrive either in North America or Europe.
