Ninja platformer N+ delayed on Nintendo DS
Sliverburch Studio’s portable version of N+ was originally planned for release last month, but now we learn that Metanet Software’s Lode Runner/Soldat-inspired platformer is being held back until July for extra tweak and polish.
Originally an online Flash title (simply titled N) and later ported to Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, N+ sees players stepping into the role of a ninja, traversing a wide range of action/platforming based levels; featuring wild acrobatics, nasty enemies and number of other pitfalls.
“N+ takes all the great elements of the flash game, from the amazing acrobatics to the simple-but-fast gameplay, and adds an impressive set of new features,” said Stephen Baer, senior global product manager, Atari, Inc. on the game’s announcement for the Nintendo DS. “With full support for wireless multiplayer, cartridge sharing ability, downloadable content and community leader boards, gamers will be able to settle, once and for all, who is the greatest ninja.”
In addition to a level editor (and level sharing between consoles), the portable version of N+ will feature co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes.
