Rumour: Kid Icarus Wii details and concept art emerges
That Factor 5 is currently developing a new version of Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Wii is one of the gaming world’s biggest rumours at the moment. And Kombo, the website that first started the whispers, has now revealed what it says are story details and concept art for the title.
These concept images are just that - concept - and do not necessarily mean that Factor 5’s Kid Icarus project has been given the official go-ahead, nor whether (if it has) that this artwork reflects the final art style of the game. Nevertheless, Kombo explains that the sketches were first uncovered in early 2008 and that the game’s artwork has progressed “considerably” since.
Rumoured details of the Kid Icarus plotline have also been discovered, with Factor 5 wanting to see an adult Pit (the game’s protagonist) being “cursed for a thousand years for a crime and becom(ing) a fallen angel.” A tattoo on Pit’s arm bears the inscription of his crime.
Both Nintendo and Factor 5 have declined to comment.
These are some interesting rumors and concept art. It seems like Nintendo might be giving Pit a more mature look than his appearance in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I wonder if this is one of Nintendo’s big E3 announcements.
These sketches look horrible. They should have used the SSBB Pit. I hope to god this doesn’t happen because it will destroy the following.

that concept art with all of the following including the final project for the way Pit looks on SSBB Factor 5 made him that so I heard >> I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s gonna stay, it’d be a waste of time to go back and change the way he looks now
Cool! this has been delayed for to many years I hope it does come out or is shown at E3-2008 for the Wii.
These concepts look like some intern made them. Come on. You gotta outsource these initial concepts to pros. And preferably a japanese. PLEASE. just take the ssbb model and go with it. That one can’t be topped unless you want to make a totally different game. remember. This is KID icarus. not Icarus.

Please no, I hate that design, I hate that plot, no, NO. We like the old school/the Brawl version of Pit, that little cute angel who saves Palutena’s, not this emo like 30-old man.

Okay, the concept art looks okay if they were making it for a different title. But if this concept art for Pit, then HELL NO! If those drawings are suppose to be a new look for Pit, screw that! That’s awful! They made Pit look 30 years old! Why don’t they just use the SSBB design for Pit? Noooo, that would be to easy! They just HAVE to fuck it up and ruin the purity of Kid Icarus! Everyone as far as I know LOVES the SSBB Pit! I like it for one thing because they kept the same basic design but they revamped in the most elegant way and it’s just so amazing that they did that! Just like with Link in Twilight Princess! But now Factor 5 will probably screw that up. I hope not! I will be pissed along with many other Kid Icarus fans! Oh and the story line they’ve seem to conjure up sucks ass. Man, I really hope they don’t do this. Leave it to the pros. to get it done.

It would be nice if Pit was a little less mature O_O Plus those pics just creep me out, making me avoid that game if it did come out like that. I agree to the comments above, and just leave it to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto. Please.
