Bloody action title Mad World confirmed for Nintendo Wii
A trailer for the game leaked onto the Interweb just yesterday, and now we learn via Famitsu magazine that Platinum Games is developing a brand new action title for the Nintendo Wii entitled Mad World. Head inside for the first details on this, and of the other key announcements published in this week’s issue of the Japanese gaming bible.
Mad World
Mad World, developed by Platinum Games is set within a colourless world of black and white. In fact, the only other shade on show is red, saved for the blood spilt by fallen enemies. Described as a mixture of “cheerful violence” and a “curb brawler”, the title is being directed by Shigenori Nishikawa (credited previously in the Resident Evil and Dino Crisis series’). As of now, there is no official release date.
Infinite Line
The second Platinum Games title to feature in Famitsu this week (developed along with Nudemaker) is Infinite Line for the Nintendo DS, a Sci-Fi RPG in which players travel in a customisable space battleship across an expansive universe. As well as 150 ship parts and 200 crew members to acquire, Infinite Line includes wireless combat and an Active Time Battle system (i.e - the fuller your power gauge, the more actions you’ll be able to perform).
Ketsui: Death Label
Based on the popular top-down Arcade shoot-em-up, Ketsui: Death Label, is a spin-off in which players face wave after wave of boss battles.
That’s your lot for this week. Anything really take your fancy? Let us know in the comments section below.
