Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia officially announced
Konami has today officially announced Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS, and confirmed that the title will arrive on the console this coming autumn.
In Order of Ecclesia players take the role of a member of the Ecclesia, an organisation that has sworn to defeat the evil forces of Dracula. Using the new attack system named Glph, players will be able to unleash more than 100 different combinations to crush Dracula’s minions throughout 20 different areas. To add replay value, Konami explains that Order of Ecclesia includes multiple endings, depending on how the player progresses through the game.
Order of Ecclesia also supports play via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing players to compete head-to-head, as well as trading items and equipment.
“We have always felt that the Castlevania franchise has been an excellent fit on Nintendo DS, and based on the popularity of the DS classics, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, our fans agree,” said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We fully expect Order of Ecclesia to ignite the fan base once again as it combines the classic Castlevania gameplay with an all-new combat system and outdoor environments.”
