With a couple of weeks until its release on WiiWare, UK developer Oxygen Games has pulled the wraps off of Pirates: The Key of Dreams, letting WiiWare-World world in on many of its details, as well as providing a selection of screenshots.

Pirates: The Key of Dreams is the prequel to the Nintendo DS title Pirates: Duels on the High Seas, and sees a navy captain on a mission to retrieve “The Key of Dreams”, a volatile artefact, from the famous sea pirate, Blackbeard.

Players must venture across the world to find him, equipping your ship with a variety of weapons (from mines and rockets, to all kinds of cannon) in 10 different missions. A multiplayer mode is also included, allowing up to four players to battle it out for supremacy on the high seas.

Pirates: The Key of Dreams is to be made available on WiiWare on May 30.
