Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure skips onto Nintendo DS
Having been confirmed in Famitsu magazine, it was just a matter of waiting until we heard more details/were treated to screenshots of the Nintendo DS port of the PSOne’s Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure… and now we have them.
Developed by Atlus and originally released for the Sony PSOne nearly a decade ago, back in December 1998, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure are considered “musical RPGs,” in that its cutscenes and story-telling interludes are filled with sing-songy numbers.
The title follows the adventures of Cornet, a young girl with the ability to talk to puppets. Her wooden companion, Kururu, and herself, head off to save Price Ferdinand Marl E., after he has been turned into stone by the evil Queen Marjoly. She didn’t mean to do it, mind you… she just messed up her magic spell.
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure faired poorly in the US on its release there in July 2000 (it was considered too easy, and a game for girls), and although there are no details of an English localisation at present, we’re sure given the chance, it’d fair better on the Nintendo DS.
