‘Drawing Logic’ squares up on WiiWare

As well as a platform for some freshly squeezed, innovative titles from independent developers looking to further themselves up the rungs of the gaming industry ladder, WiiWare is also going to be taken advantage of as a method of making a quick buck with simple, addictive downloadable titles. It’s what G-mode did with its Japanese debut for the service, Angel Solitaire, and looks to be mirroring in its upcoming Pay and Play-compatible Picross rehash, Drawing Logic.

Cubed3 reports that Drawing Logic, which will arrive on the Japanese WiiWare service on May 27, will cost just 500 Wii Points initially, but will include the option to download further content throughout the year, at a cost of 300 Wii Points per puzzle pack.

Like the hugely successful Picross DS and those before it, the aim of Drawing Logic is to use logic and mental skill to fill an empty grid with squares, which eventually connect to form a pretty little picture… like a flower, a mobile phone, or a man with a disturbingly pixelated face. Drawing Logic will also feature online leaderboards as standard.

No word on a Western release yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
