Master of the Monster Layer announced for Nintendo DS
Atlus has today announced a dungeon-digging, monster battling RPG adventure for the Nintendo DS entitled Master of the Monster Layer.
Master of the Monster Lair is set in the quiet dow of South Arc, a place where villagers are increasingly finding themselves being killed off by the monsters infesting a nearby forest. Upping sticks is no good, because reports filter through from the King that the whole kingdom is under threat from these nasties too.
As a young, fatherless boy, life goes on as normal… until that is, you bump into, of all things, a talking shovel. Taking ownership of said shovel (which turns out to be a magic one), you are requested to dig a whole dungeon and destroy any monster within it. While you dig, dig, dig, and explore, explore, explore, your misfortune is turned into a tourist attraction for all to see…
…But is attracting people to the Monster Lair a good idea? We guess not.
Key Features
- It all begins with a talking shovel – The discovery of a talking shovel begins an eccentric adventure where you become the master of the monster lair! As the shovel’s new owner, you’re given the incredible job of digging a dungeon and hunting the monsters that come to live in it.
- Be the architect of your lair – Transform a small hole in the ground into a huge dungeon for hunting monsters! Fill it with over 20 different types of rooms, including Chapels, Cellars, Stables, Trash Dumps, and more to attract different types of monsters and help you obtain different items.
- Share your lair! – Challenge your friends to reach the end of your custom monster lair and see what monsters and items are waiting in theirs. Trade designs over local wireless and prove that you’re the best dungeon digger around!
Master of the Monster Layer will arrive on September 02.
