Eidos details Tomb Raider: Underworld Wii
Eidos Interactive has released a flurry of new details about the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, including the Wii Remote wizardry that will set it apart from its counterparts on other consoles.
Tomb Raider: Underworld’s plotline centres on the legend of the Norse god Thor, rumoured to have wielded a hammer with the power to smash mountains into valleys, and even topple the gods themselves. No one believe it really existed, until our Lara happens upon the Norse underworld during a dive on the floor of the Mediterranean Sea. She’s an inquisitive one, is Lara, and she soon discovers that the forgotten Norse power, if unleashed, could destroy the whole of civilization.
Exclusive to the Nintendo Wii version of the game are a number of motion-controlled instruments that will help our protagonist uncover secrets, including a chisel, pliers, multipurpose torch, and compressed air gun. In addition, the Wii Remote will be used to control the camera, and offer more fluid camera control and aiming whilst in combat.
Features
- Multi-purpose grapple: A claw-like device with a high-tension cable designed for climbing, rappelling, performing wall runs and manipulating objects within the environment.
- All-terrain hybrid motorbike: A unique vehicle design built to drive on everything from mud to snow and ice.
Both the Nintendo DS and Wii versions of Tomb Raider: Underworld will be released this November. The above screenshots are from the Xbox 360/PS3 version of the game.

Cant wait for screenshots or footage from the Wii version.. If its not as good, I might just buy a next-gen console..
