Insecticide dated for Europe
It has recently crawled onto American shores, but Crackpot Entertainment has confirmed today that its film-noir bug-eyed Nintendo DS adventure, Insecticide, will arrive in Europe this August.
Insecticide places players in the shoes of bug detectives as they are tasked with investigating a mystery of “epic proportions,” tracking down clues and items to help you along the way. Detective Chrys Liszt and partner Roachy Caruthers are on the case as they become entangled in a web of crime in the third-person shooter/detective game.
“The heart of classic detective novels and movies is to get the audience involved mentally, but now via the Nintendo DS we can get players involved in a much more tactile arena,” said Rick Stults, Console Chief for Gamecock Media Group. “The mouse and the stylus are the key to the ‘touch and feel’ experience we’re really aiming for with this game and I think that’s something players are really going to enjoy.”
Insecticide has received extremely mixed reviews since its release in the US, so tread with caution on this one.
