Lexicon Entertainment has today confirmed its plans to add to the Nintendo Wii’s growing repertoire of golfing simulations with the announcement of CustomPlay Golf 2009.

Lexicon is aiming to make the follow-up to CustomPlay Golf 2 the most feature-rich golfing title out there (we think Tiger Woods will have something to say about that, mind you), complete with 15 full-sized championship courses; crazy and mini golf extras, driving ranges, and play mechanics based on realistic physics (hopefully that means some super smooth Wii Remote swing action). There will also be a substantial customisation editor, allow players to create a player and shape it to their heart’s content.

CustomPlay Golf 2009 will be released in the first quarter of 2009. The above screenshots are from the PC build of the game, which was also announced today.
