Elebits hardly set the Nintendo Wii alight (at least in consumers’ eyes) when it arrived early on in the Nintendo Wii’s lifetime, but Konami wasn’t just about to give up on the franchise, and its follow-up is now heading to the Nintendo DS this autumn. The first details and screenshots of Elebits: The Adventures of Kai & Zero have now emerged.

IGN reports that Elebits: The Adventures of Kai & Zero is a direct sequel to the Nintendo Wii game, set in a world where human beings live peacefully alongside the Elebits, tiny life forms that provide energy to everything that needs it. It is reported that TAoK&Z sees players on the hunt for omega Elebits, solving puzzles, and using the powers of different Elebits that include freezing water to create icy paths, and turning dark into light.

That’s about all that’s known about the title so far, other than it will feature multiplayer both locally and the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.
