EA fakie - Balance Board tricks are in Skate It Wii
Chatter from NGamer magazine last month seemed to confirm that EA’s Skate It for the Nintendo Wii would only use the Balance Board to steer characters and not to perform tricks. Now, though, with the news that that the exact opposite it true, it appears NGamer got it all wrong, or Skate It’s developers have had a change of heart.
Newly released promotional material confirms that players will actually be able to pull stunts using the Wii Balance Board in Skate It. EA has divided the board into a number of lettered sections, and depending on where your foot rests, different tricks will be performed (kickflips, heelflips, etc). What’s more, using the Balance Board’s weight-sensitivity, leaning hard either backwards or forwards will perform a powerslide.
IGN recently got a pre-E3 look at the extreme sports sim, learning that it will include a mono-screen multiplayer mode (players taking turns), as well as the ability to mould a female avatar in the Create-A-Skater mode.
