Wild West Guns uncovered for WiiWare

What looks like being the first Wii Zapper-compatible WiiWare title has been uncovered today, in the form of Gameloft’s Wild West Guns. Unlike its previous outings on the download service, it looks to be like an original effort rather than a port of its library of mobile phone games.

Set in the American West, Wild West guns looks like classic arcade shooting fun, with dozens of targets popping up from behind static scenery throughout. It also looks very simple in design, but then again, we imagine that’s what we’ll come to see from a lot of WiiWare offerings. Famitsu reports that up to four gamers will be able to play along simultaneously in a co-operative mode, while there also looks to be like separate target practice mini-games, including the popping of balloons and the gunning down of flying sombreros.

Wild West Guns will be released in Japan on July 22 (no word of a western release yet, although it has been rated by the ERSB), and will cost 1000 Wii Points.
