Midway dates Game Party 2 and TouchMaster 2
Developer Midway has announced that it is to follow-up two Nintendo platform-based titles with sequels - Game Party 2 and TouchMaster 2 - both of which will arrive on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS respectively this autumn.
Game Party 2
The original Game Party is one of the Nintendo Wii’s best-selling budget titles, featuring over a dozen mini-games including table hockey and darts. Its sequel looks to build on the successful formula with 11 games in total, including Bean Bags, Horseshoes, Lawn Darts, and Puck Bowling. The title features multiplayer for up to four gamers, as well as customisable characters and tournament play.
TouchMaster 2
TouchMaster 2 offers more of a cerebral challenge to GameParty, much in the same vein as Nintendo’s own 42 All-Time Classics. It features over 20 new games, including twists on the likes of Solitaire, Poker, and Mahki.
“Following the great success of the first instalments, Game Party 2 and TouchMaster 2 are guaranteed to provide hours of entertainment, whether alone or in a group, for people of all ages,” said Mona Hamilton, vice president of marketing, Midway Home Entertainment. “Casual game fans enjoyed the intuitive style of the originals, which have now been expanded and enhanced but still maintain that pick-up-and-play feel.”
We can hear you all now… “…You can’t ever have too many mini-game compilations,” and we wholeheartedly agree.
