Many real-time strategy titles are complex affairs, with thousands of facts and figures to digest, and micro management a scientist specialising in nano technology would be proud of. Believing there’s a gap in the market for young ‘uns, Crave Entertainment has announced Defendin’ De Penguin for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, what it calls the first RTS aimed specifically at children.

As you’d imagine, the storyline is pretty simple. Players must help Little Blue fend off hoards of hungry creatures that want to scoff down the town’s plentiful supply of fish for their suppers. Gamers will need to place defences around the locale as strategically as possible, using timing and cunningness to thwart the dangerous onslaught.
