[E3 2008] Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia announced

Despite being around since 1995 and the days of the original Game Boy handheld, the Pokemon series is as strong as ever, and is a key factor in the continuing growth of the Nintendo DS. Continuing its forward march to world domination, Nintendo announced today that Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia would arrive in North America on November 10.

The latest Pokemon spin-off sees players on a journey to becoming a Top Ranger in the new region of Almia. Compared to its prequel, it boasts more missions and opportunities to explore the expansive overworld, which ranges in variety from forests and deserts to the depths of the ocean floor. As ever, catching Pokemon is central to gameplay, because they’ll help you advance and improve your status amongst the Rangers.

Players circle the Pokémon they want to catch by drawing circles around them on the touch screen. When you complete certain Quests, the Ranger Union awards you with power-ups, which add new upgrades and functions to your Capture Styler, allowing you to move on.

Hi folks,

What online mags do you read and would recommend?

For all you punkrock people out there I recommend The Enough Fanzine. It is one of the first emo ezines on the www.

They have throusands of reviews from the most popular bands all over the world. Check them out online: Enough Fanzine. Best of it all, they are 100% non-profit and just helping the scene!

Looking forward to your recommendations.

Cheers!
