Eidos has remained fairly hushed about Monster Lab for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, but has today unveiled a whole host of details about the RPG/action hybrid in which players conduct dangerous experiments, as well as venturing on quests and challenges and battling online.

Monster Lab sees players taking on the role of an apprentice scientist in a supernatural world ruled by the evil Baron Mharti. You must perform a vast array of intricate experiments to create their very own monster from over 150 available monster parts. Taking control of your monster, the player can then explore the land; searching for ingredients to make more monster parts, hunting out other monsters to defeat in combat and uncovering fun quests and challenges. Ultimately, you want to vanquish Mharti and liberate the townsfolk by creating an army of monsters.
